An incredible number of people have been buying my book in either paperback, Kindle, or Audible over the last month. My website has experienced a significant spike in traffic, with over 71,000 visitors in just three weeks, despite no increase in advertising or marketing.
This is showing me just how many grieving and hurting people are searching to find help for the tremendous mourning and pain experienced in these times.
It’s not only the pandemic and the millions of people who have been affected by it. People are suffering from all kinds of grief, from illness and deaths unrelated to the pandemic, to terrible natural disasters, to racial unrest and injustices, to the polarization in our country and more. People are traumatized and desperate for help in coping with an overwhelming year.
While I am grateful I am able to help people with my book, my heart is breaking as there are more and more broken hearts every day. I want to extend to everyone my acknowledgment of this, my prayers, and my hope you will get the help you need and get through this.
Our country is in the midst of a grief storm, and we all need to help as much as we can.
Thousand of years ago, Aesop wrote, “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” Let’s be kind to each other. Let’s help each other. Together, we will get through.
With love, from my heart to yours,
Debbie
